Rules : K7 Kabaddi Stage Up
Player Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 21 years and below- Players who are born on or after 29th February 2000 will be eligible to participate in the tournament
- Weight: Players with weight up to 80kg will be allowed to participate in the tournament
- Players who have appeared in any professional League or are employed with Railways, Services, ONGC and similar organizations (before the commencement of K7 Qualifiers) will not be allowed to participate in any of the K7 tournaments
- Players will have to sign an undertaking for injuries and Covid related illness before the start of the tournament
Team Eligibility and Structure
- Teams that finished winners and runners up of their respective Pools in the K7 Qualifiers and wild card entries are allowed to participate in the K7 Stage Up Tournament
- Teams will be allowed to make a maximum of 5 changes to their K7 Qualifiers Squad for the tournament
- Teams can pick any player of their choice to make changes to their existing squad keeping all the player criteria in mind
- Player Transfers will be allowed if there is a 3 way agreement between the player, existing team and the new team. Every player has a player fee for K7 Stage Up tournament which is provided by organizers. If a player is getting transferred, he will receive only 60% of his player fee The remaining 40% will be equally shared between the existing team of the player and the organizing committee
- Total of number of players in a team will be 12, along with 1 head coach and 1 team manager/assistant coach.
- The head coach and the Team Manager will have to remain with the team for the entire duration of the tournament, no changes of personnel will be allowed once reported to the venue
- There will be no injury replacements allowed once the teams have reported to the venue
- Teams are allowed to start a match with lesser than mandatory number of players in case of emergencies
- Teams will be allowed to start a match if they have a minimum of 7 players showing up on the mat
Tournament Format
- 10 Qualified teams will be divided into two pools of 5 teams each- Pool A and Pool B
- Each team in Pool A and Pool B will play a double round robin- each team will play each other two times
- Top 3 teams from Pool A and Pool B will get qualified for the K7 Finals
- Top 3 teams from Pool A and Top 3 teams from Pool B will go ahead to the Super 6 of the K7 Stage Up Tournament
- In the Super 6 Stage - teams will play an single round robin- each team will play each other once and top 4 teams at the end of super 6 will go into the Play offs of K7 Stage Up Tournament
- Play Offs stage will have a Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and The Final
- Qualifier 1- Rank 1 vs Rank 2 (From Super 6)
- Eliminator- Rank 3 vs Rank 4 (From Super 6)
- Qualifier 2- Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator
- Final- Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2
Weighing Process
- Weighing of players will be done in a transparent way in front of Jury- the session will be recorded and displayed outside the weighing area
- The Jury will consist of selected referees and one/two members from the organizing committee
- It is compulsory for all team coaches/managers/assistant coaches to be present during the weighing process
- Any complaint regarding the weighing will only be considered if the Head coach/ Assistant Coach/Team manager is present during the weighing process
- Weighing of players will be done 2-3 times during the course of the tournament
- 1st weighing will be done as the players report of the venue 1 day prior to the commencement of matches of each pool
- 2nd weighing will be done before the start of the Super 6 stage of the tournament
- 3rd weighing will be done before the knock out stage of the tournament
- The Weighing process will be done in a very strict manner- The weight Limit of 80Kgs will not be compromised for any reason
Match Rules
- AKFI match rules pertaining to the points awarding system in a match will be followed during the course of the tournament
- All 12 members of the team must be present in the mat as per the reporting time, failing to report on time will result in an walk over to the other team which is present
- If both teams fail to report to the mat as per the reporting time- the match shall be abandoned and both teams will be disqualified from the tournament
- If a match which is not of Knock outs stage ends in a tie at the end of 40 minutes both teams will be awarded equal points
- If a knock out stage match ends in a tie after 40 minutes of play, there will be two minute extension of the match until a winner is emerged
- If a team loses all the matches in a Pool stage or in Super 6 stage, the score difference between that team will not be counted to decide the winner.
Match Etiqutte
- Insults or inappropriate behavior or threats of violence against a referee or another player will be seriously evaluated
- Any red cards during K7 Stage Up will deem the player ineligible to participate in the upcoming tournament of K7s
- No foul play will be allowed during the tournament
- All players are requested to tuck in their t-shirts during the match
- The Referee decision will be final and no arguments will be encouraged
Match Result
- The team which scores the highest number of points at the end of 40 minutes will be declared as the winner of the match
- A win with a score difference greater than or equal to 5 points will secure the winning team 4 points and the losing team 0 points
- A win with a score difference less than 5 points will secure the winning team 3 points and the losing team 1 point
- A Tie (non knockout matches) will secure two points each for both teams
Points Table
- If a team loses all the matches in the Pool stage or in the Super 6 stage, the score difference against that team will not be counted.
- If there is a tie of points between multiple teams in the points table, the number of total wins will be considered to break the tie
- If the number of total wins also tied- the overall score difference will be considered to break the tie
- If the overall score difference also tied- number of wins in the matches between the tied teams will be considered to break the tie
- If the number of wins in the matches between the tied teams also tied- the score difference in the matches between the tied teams will be considered to break the tie
- If all the above scenarios end in a tie - a toss will be used to decide the outcome
Doping
- There will be random Dope tests conducted during the tournament for players
- Teams are requested to cooperate with the organizers for blood draws, urine samples, etc
- If any player is found guilty of Doping, the player will be banned for 3 years from participating in any K7 tournaments
