A young boy from Kilwaoi, Rohtak: Goldy started his Kabaddi Journey from 2013. From playing at the temple grounds with his friends, it was Mr. Sunil Kumar who spotted his talent initially and still practices under him. Started his journey as a raider only, he decided his fate in this sport at the initial stages only.
Being a fanboy of Deepak Niwas Hooda, it was a full circle of life for Goldy when he got to play for the academy of his Hero in the K7 Qualifiers. The young-bloke had to revert back from training grounds of national camps of Chandigarh, his game sense and play was encouraged by his family and was given full support through the years. A vetran of a lot of local tournaments, Goldy feels that K7 is the best opportunity for young local players, going forward in the course of time.
"K7 Tournament sabse best hai, ajj tak jitne bhi khele hai", says Goldy when asked about K7 Qualifiers.
The left-right raider, managed to score 12 points from the 3 matches. His start was not the best one, managing only one bonus raid and five empty in his debut for DNH but the very next match came with his best performance coming against Kathura Stadium where he scored an individual total of 10 points. The final match in the league was something Goldy would not really like to remember, with more unsuccessful raids than the successful ones and indeed ending the tournament in a successful tone.
