The 29-member men and women Indonesian kabaddi team is in India for a 21-day training camp at the Bhim Stadium in Bhiwani. For the last one week, the Indonesia teams are training in Bhiwani with kabaddi players from nearby villages as part of their preparation for the upcoming Asian Games, which they are hosting.

Locals are excited to see the foreign players on their land. During the evenings locals, elders and coaches also reach the stadium to watch them train. Morning generally begins with skill- improvement session and they play matches against teams from various villages in the evening.
Gana says “It’s a great experience and helps our team prepare for the Asian Games. As hosts, we need to play our best and our kabaddi team is new. So we thought of training them in India, the best place for kabaddi,”.
A former kabaddi coach at the Bhim Stadium and current coach of the Indonesia team Chhaju Ram Goyat, is overseeing training sessions at the stadium. It was his idea to bring the teams to India.
