Vikash Khandola scored a whopping 18 points against Central Railways to take his team, East Central Railways, to the finals of the 69th All India Inter Railway Tournament. In a tightly fought match, the East Central Railways registered a 42-41 win against their Central Railways. His teammate, Naveen, also pitched in precious nine points to take the team past the winning line.
For Central Railway, Shrikant Jadhav fought till the last raid to take his team to the finals but failed to do so. Trailing by two points and just one raid to go, Jadhav could get only one touchpoint on Rinku. Jadhav ended up with 15 raid points to his name. Viraj V Landge and Suraj Bansode picked up seven points each for the losing team.
The other semifinal saw defending champions South Central Railway crash out of the tournament after they were handed a 29-31 loss by North Eastern Railway. Rohit Gulia's Super 10, as well as High 5s from Srikanth Tewthia and Parvesh Bhainswal, helped the home team reach the finals.
