Janardhan Singh Gehlot from India, has been elected the president of the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) for the next four years. The decision was announced after the Annual General Congress (AGC) of the federation, conducted in Dubai recently. 22 member countries participated in the AGC of IKF. Mohammed Sarwar of Pakistan recommended the name of Janardan Singh Gehlot. Mr.Gehlot was the only nomination for the post of president.
IKF also decided in the meeting to extend its support to all nations having less facilities by providing playing mats besides sending coaches to develop Kabaddi in the respective countries.
